Had a surgical consult, x rays and blood work for my husky. Everyone was extremely professional. Explanations were excellent. All questions answered He will be operated on tomorrow.Dr. Massat was outstanding.

Over all, they did save my dog's life, but it did cost $4000 (although I honestly would've paid anything). They didn't really figure out what happened to her, but it was a band aid until I could get her in with a specialist some days later. If this is the closest ER to you, I wouldn't hesitate to come here in a life or death emergency, but if you do have other options or are within proximity to Blue Pearl or Tufts, that would likely be preferable because of the specialists they have on staff.

Not a great first experience. I took my dog that was vomiting and very dehydrated late at night on an emergency basis. I was very disappointed with the care my dog received. I understand that emergency costs will be higher as it is emergency care. The care you provide should reflect what you charge. The vet did not explain what the situation was clearly not only due to his language barrier but due to he did not have the ability to explain the problem step by step and what the first course of treatment should be. I was given pills due to they did not have liquid medications which indicated to take with food prescribed to a dog that is not eating or drinking! I was out right told I could leave my dog over night however it would be 5000.00 or more and if money was an issue I could call the MSPCA! Let me be clear I have care credit card for situations like this should they arise. I was not asked or even offered any financial discussion on what or how the treatment could be given and worked out financially. This facility was more concerned about the money not patient care. My dog was told after arriving she was dangerously dehydrated and 2 hours later was still not started on fluids, dangerous for a 4lb dog. They lost power so they did not even have the immediate capability to treat my baby in the first place as they couldn't run blood work readily. I would never take my baby here again! I do appreciate the follow up call the following day to check on my pet at which time I indicated in detail my experience and disapproval of my treatment as well as the care my dog received. I was told I could return if the problem persisted and that they would be happy for me to return. I will not be returning. PLEASE PLEASE bring your pet to any other emergency hospital!

My mom recently brought my dog here while I was on a trip to California and my dog was having an emergency cardiac episode. The vet on duty revived her and the staff was all extremely kind to her and us throughout the whole ordeal (I came back from my trip early and arrived 24 hrs later). Because they don't have a cardiologist on staff and it was the weekend, we had to wait 3 days until a cardiologist could see her. Because the person they use isn't on staff, I wasn't able to meet with the cardiologist directly. That cardiologist didn't arrive at the exact diagnosis (and none of the ER vets could figure out exactly what was going on) and I didn't get any exact answers until later in the week when I took her to Blue Pearl. I had also brought in a sentimental blanket for my dog to have with her during her stay and they temporarily lost it and were not particularly interested in attempting to find it until I absolutely insisted they check again (it was recovered).

Stay away from these criminals at all costs. We brought our cat there after she vomited for several days in a row. Because of a previous poor experience with a vet she is traumatized by being brought in. Therefore, she needed to be sedated. She was diagnosed with a simple bladder infection and was prescribed antibiotics. THE VISIT COST US OVER $1,000. She was doing extremely well at the end of the course of the antibiotics treatment. Unfortunately, a couple days after the treatment ended she began to present with the exact same symptoms. Of course a Fifth Grader would know it was because not all of the bacteria were killed off with the first course of antibiotics and simply extending the treatment is the proper immediate protocol. However, as a result of this company's greed they would not simply extend the antibiotic treatment unless I brought our cat back in. They wanted to see her again so they could charge me for another visit and sedating again, all while traumatizing her a second time which would undoubtedly end in a prescription for another round of antibiotics. They are well aware of this but refuse to simply extend the treatment without a visit so they can continue to run up the already ridiculous tab. Do not trust these absolute scum bags with your pet. There are other emergency animal hospitals in the area that are far more reputable.

They were very sweet with us and very very kind to my dog. They allowed us to have a room to visit with her and genuinely seemed to care about her. One of the male vets on staff did give me a very grim prognosis while I was still in California which turned out to be inaccurate and caused me undue alarm, but the other vets seemed much more on the ball.

My Bernese had an emergency where he was vomiting excessively. Westford Vet was great in getting me right in and diagnosing the concern. Turned out to be an obstruction, they recommended surgery after confirming via ultra sound. I was glad they were able to confirm the diagnosis prior to surgery as to not unnecessarily perform surgery. The whole process went well, they kept me informed the entire time my dog was with them over the weekend. I am thankful that my dog was in the best of hands with the veterinarians at Westford. Thank you!
